The World's Greatest Bar Band

Well- I am back! I thought I would post about my recent adventure to a local bar in SLC where Matt and I went and watched George Thorogood and the Destoyers. He is known for 'Bad to the Bone' and 'Move it on Over' for those who don't know who he is! He is one of my favorite groups though I must admit I didn't know he was still performing! I started listening to him as a sophmore in highscool. and he was considered a classic back then! He put on a great show for being an old timer. It was totally awesome to hear him sing bbbbbaaad to the bone live! It is always entertaining to be the only people not drinking alcohol. We were next to a very nice but very drunk man during the concert. Matt stood between the drunk guy and me just to keep him from falling into me! I have been singing his songs all week because of it! He has a great distinctive voice with a bluesy-rock 'n roll style of music. The place was packed and I overheard some latecomers comment that Thorogood is still packing a full house.

It is good to be back and I have enjoyed reading your blogs. I'll be back soon!

I can't believe you are back! Yippee! This so rocks! The concert sounded fun- and it is always entertaining to be the sober ones at any event like that. Makes you wonder how some people even remember going to stuff like that when they are so wasted. Good thing you had Matt there with you eh?

Now we need posts with pictures of your deck, the horse, chickens...so much!

P.S. Reminded me of when we lived in Lodi & went & saw Jefferson Starship at a crappy bar. I didn't think they were still performing either. Funny thing was, our home teacher & his wife took us (Dave & Shelba Durston). We made fun of them for taking us to a BAR. hehe.
